Preparing for a Certification Test

Each test involves randomly selected, multiple choice questions.  To prepare for the Disciplined Agile Certification test, we've seen people be successful by following at least one of the following strategies:

  1. Take one or more from the list below and read section 1 of the book Choose Your WoW!
  2. Read the book Choose Your WoW! in its entirety.
  3. Take one or more workshops from the list below and have several years of agile experience.
Suggested workshops (in order of preference):
  1. DA111 Implementing Disciplined Agile Delivery (2-day)
  2. DA101 The Disciplined Agile Experience - Certification Prep Workshop (3-day)
  3. DA104 Introduction to Disciplined Agile - Certification Workshop (2-day)
  4. DA105 Disciplined Agile In A Nutshell- Certification Workshop (1-day)

      How Test Questions are Marked

There are two strategies for awarding points based on the type of question:

    1. True-false questions.  You get one point for a correct answer, zero for the incorrect answer.
    2. Multiple-answer questions. There are several correct choices for this question.   You are awarded one point for each correct answer but one point is deducted for each incorrect answer.
This marking scheme is described in greater detail, with examples, in following sample test.

      Sample Test

We've developed a sample test that you can take to give you a feel for what the two tests are like.  There are 10 questions in the sample test, the answers to the questions at the back of the test, a marking sheet to help you calculate your score, and a detailed description for how your score is calculated (including an example of how a question is marked).  Our recommendation is to print the PDF, take the test, and then calculate your score.
