Here are some answers to common questions that you may have about the Certified Disciplined Agile Partner Program and how it relates to you as an Instructor:
Q: Do I have to be a Certified Partner in order to be a Certified Disciplined Agile Instructor (CDAI)?
A: No. While we hope that you choose to be a Partner you may choose to be a CDAI, and not join the partner program. The annual fee for being a CDAI is indicated on the Instructor Program details page. We are priced to be competitive with other certification programs, as well as to make it practical for CDAIs who do not wish to pay extra to promote themselves using the partner program. Independent contractors who want to subcontract their services to teach for Certified Partners may be candidates for this approach.
A: The license can be owned by either the Instructor or the Partner, depending on who pays for it. If the Partner owns the license, then the Instructor is not allowed to teach for other Partners unless those Partners pay for a license on the Instructor’s behalf.
A: Your partnership is valid for the duration of your current Instructor agreement, typically one year. When it comes up for renewal you will be give the opportunity to renew as an Instructor only, or renew as a Partner.
A: We will be sending out an agreement for your new partnership. Please note that we will need to know if you would like your partnership to be in the name of your company for promotional purposes and listing on the website. We will also need an electronic version of your logo for the DAC website. Once we receive this information, we will send the new agreement.
A: We hope that you will see the value in the benefits as described on the Certified Partner Program page. You can use the Partner logo branding to help market your services as an Instructor but also that fact that your firm has CDAs, and CDAPs. We are increasingly being asked for references of companies and consultants that are certified to help organizations adopt Disciplined Agile. Additionally, you receive discounts on your teaching royalties making your courses more profitable.
A: In addition to the benefits outlined in the Instructor Program, there are other advantages of becoming a partner. We can all benefit from the growing awareness of the value of Disciplined Agile. The revenue from the partner program funds administration of the Consortium as well as marketing activities. For example:
We are working hard to make the Instructor program more valuable to you.
